7' di lettura

Such a great day this Friday, August 4! The Lovesick Duo (ITA), a world-renowned duo of musicians from Bologna, will perform at the Rocca, and they are landing for the first time at Summer Jamboree #23 by becoming a trio: in addition to guitar and double bass, in fact, they will be joined by a violinist.

Their music draws from the American atmosphere of country, rock'n'roll and Western swing of the 1940s and 1950s and touches the dearest topics of Country Music and Rock'n'Roll such as love, betrayal and above all, wild fun! They will be followed by the performance debut of an Italian/Swiss group, The Rattlestrings (ITA/CH), offering Rock'n'Roll, Rockabilly, but especially Western swing and Hillbilly Boogie, while singing along to honky tonk, say howdy to The RattleStrings!

Taking care of the evening's record hops will be DJ Boppin' Bangles, DJ Mickey Melodies and DJ The Desperados. Not to be missed at 6 p.m., a free dance class will be opened to everyone on the Hera dance floor at the Rocca.

Meanwhile, on the main stage in Garibaldi Square, the legendary Jolly Rockers feat. Greg & Max Paiella (ITA) will come back to perform for many fans of the “hottest” festival ever. This group is now a true house band of the festival. Born in 1982 in Rome from an idea of Claudio "Greg" Gregori, their musical project, which still characterizes the band today, is dedicated to the legendary 1950s: in addition to the R'n'R classics of the 1950s, which will never be lacking, there will be also songs by Louis Prima, Louis Jordan, Dean Martin, the Coasters, but also a tribute to the Blues Brothers and the big names that marked this era and these musical genres.

The performance will be accompanied by the genial irony of Greg, Max Paiella, Attilio Di Giovanni and an amazing combo of musicians, that will come together, just for this special occasion, to give life to a show not to be missed! Musical interludes, opening the stage at 7 p.m., will be provided by DJ Terry Elliot, DJ Houserockin' Chris, DJ Rocketeer and DJ Big Ten Inch.

But that's not all: at the Theater La Fenice, at 11 p.m., one of the Festival's hottest events returns, the highly anticipated Burlesque Cabaret, Music and Dance Show. Four incredible performers will be performing: on the notes of the wonderful Ô De Mon Chéri (FRA), a delicate French-born singer who has performed all over the world singing for celebrities such as Elton John and the Beckhams, accompanied by house band The Good Fellas, Eliza DeLite (UK), Ruby Rudy (ES) and the amazing Russell Bruner (USA).

Eliza has dazzled audiences from Paris to New York, from Chicago to Berlin. Her repertoire of iconic performances has brought to her a permanent place in the international burlesque circuit and she is considered one of the UK's leading burlesque stars. Ruby, on the other hand, has a timeless grace and a truly captivating stage presence: her glamorous aura is reminiscent of the divas of old Hollywood. Winner of 3 international festivals, in 2019 she has become the first European to win the famous title of Miss Viva Las Vegas. In other words, a Burlesque celebrity.

Finally, the unbeatable Russell, who is ready to captivate audiences with his curled mustache and striped suits. Winner of several titles during the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend in Las Vegas, he will impress with his performance floating between swing and ... striptease! The evening will be hosted by the contagious laughter of Bianca Nevius (ITA). Admission €22, Combo Ticket Burlesque + Rotonda €26, presales on ciaotickets.
